- Geoff Birkinshaw Review added: 2018.09.25★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆In 2013 I was rushed in here after a leg infection from a previous operation resurfaced after five years . The doctors here warned me that they might amputate.
I declined to sign the consent form and asked to be transferred to the Northern General in Sheffield where they sorted me without cutting off my leg. The quality of treatment always depends on how good the doctor is.

Not on a gynae ward but put on a day case ward after major surgery on a Friday afternoon.
Tinzaparin was not given post op despite being requested anti biotics not prescribed post op until a temp spike was noted... No follow up appointment offered...Staff very casual and making comments about patients after they had left.. Another person had to wait 6 hrs for their take home meds to be sorted. Staff playing music on the ward..
No one came to discuss care after surgery. The light over the bed was full of dust. Discharged without dressings or any follow up support.........
This was poor care and the attitude of the staff It gives an overall impression of a total lack of discipline.
